How We Work

We pay no rent or salaries.   We are an all-volunteer non-profit organization. We operate from our kitchen tables and office desks.  Board members and volunteers do not receive compensation of any kind. We respond 365 days a year to unique and universal needs.

One hundred percent of the money we raise goes to kids. We serve youth from Rockport to Gualala and inland to Comptche. We are the safety net for our coastal infants and children who need a helping hand. We provide needed resources to benefit Mendocino Coast low-income children.

Our community’s teachers, social workers, coaches, health professionals and recreation staff make requests to the MCCF on behalf of infants and children in need.  The Board reviews all requests. We protect the identity of the children served and of our donors as well. Confidentiality is at the core of everything we do.
