The MCCF is the community’s way of showing up for families when tragedies occur. Our Misfortune Fund allows the community to donate to families in a direct way to meet immediate needs. Earlier this week, a wonderful young man, Alex Osorio, a 2013 graduate from Fort Bragg High School was killed in a local logging accident. Just days before, Alex and Mayari Aguayo had just welcomed their beloved newborn daughter, Ezra.
For those of you who would like to help out, your donations to the Misfortune Fund mean that the Children’s Fund can respond on behalf of all of us. For 25 years, the MCCF has been the heart of our loving community.
Please write Misfortune on your check or your PayPal donation. As always all fees and incidental costs are paid by generous MCCF benefactors so 100 percent of your money can be used as intended.
From infancy to graduation, local children count on your generosity. Thanks to you, we are here for kids 365 days a year. Right now we are gearing up for summer camp and recreation programs at local agencies, non profits and community organizations.
We also are providing needed diapers and medical mileage. We have hundreds of wonderful kids who, through no fault of their own, need a helping hand.
Please be assured that 100 percent of your donation is used for community children. Bequests, donor advised funds, grants, and other efforts on the part of the board pay our operational costs so that we can keep that promise always.
