CARE and FERA are PG&E discount programs that help eligible low income customers pay their energy bills.

California LIHEAP
aids low income households and families that need are unable to pay for the cost of heating and cooling bills. Energy assistance is provided as a one-time financial assistance or as emergency assistance, such as after a household receives a disconnect notice from a utility company. Additionally, the program provides eligible households with free weatherization upgrades in order to lower monthly utility bills moving forward.
