Helping our kids to be the healthiest they can be

From our youngest to our eldest community members, each of us are more vulnerable during times of great stress and uncertainty. Our emotional and mental well-being are directly tied to our physical health: times of crisis and extreme stress can lower our immune systems, leaving us more susceptible to imbalances and illnesses. Below are resources for getting yourself and your loved ones much deserved support and care, so that we may all weather life's storms better, together.

DIAGNOSING AND TREATING COVID-19

There is a presumptive eligibility Medi-Cal program to cover testing and treatment related to COVID-19. This program is available regardless of immigration status or income. It can even be used by those with a Medi-Cal Share-of-Cost or those that have private insurance that does not cover the full cost of treatment.   Enrollment in this program can be done through your local participating clinic.  The hospitals also have a Medi-Cal Presumptive Eligibility program.  So if you or a client or a family member need treatment, do not delay.  There is a program to cover the costs!
To learn more about these programs, check out this MCHA document.
